FLEAS!!!!!
To win the battle against fleas, you've GOT to strike FIRST!
A lot of folks end up fighting fleas year round. If you're not on year-round
prevention and you're seeing fleas, you'll need to treat your pets AND their
environment MULTIPLE TIMES to break the flea life cycle. A single dose of
Frontline or Advantage probably won't be enough to do the trick.
Remember what Mother said about an ounce of prevention . . . ?
Flea medications are designed to work as preventatives, so keep your pets
protected before the infestation starts!!!
Also---remember that the makers of Comfortis, Frontline, and other pet
meds DO NOT sell their products to on-line vendors, even if such sites refer
to themselves as "pharmacies."
We've seen a few disappointed folks whose on-line purchases ARE NOT
working. A representative with Merial, the makers of Frontline, informed us
recently that there's "a ton" of bootleg and counterfeit products on the internet
right now, meaning that some people are purchasing little more than water
in a Frontline look-alike package.
Be safe and be smart---purchase these products only from a licensed
veterinarian.
ALSO, MAKE SURE your pets are protected against the
life-threatening effects of heartworms YEAR ROUND! We treat several
heartworm patients each year; the threat is VERY real. READ SOME
