Laura J. Fulks, DVM

Dr. Fulks grew up in Huntington, attending Cabell County schools
and graduating from Huntington East High School.  After receiving her
BS degree from Marshall University, she studied Veterinary Medicine
at The Ohio State University, where she was awarded her Doctor of
Veterinary Medicine degree.

Married with three active kids, Dr. Fulks amazingly balances a busy
family life with her intense focus on the care of your most-loving
companions.  For "fun", she enjoys spending time with her kids,
reading, walking her dogs, and spending time outdoors.

Dr. Fulks has been practicing veterinary medicine and veterinary
surgery in Huntington since 1997.  A loving pet owner herself, she
knows that your animals are more than just "pets"---they're family!!!
And she knows that the human-animal bond is not only special, but
sacred.  With that as her focus, she demonstrates everyday what it
means to provide
expert care for the life you share.

Did you know . . . that Dr. Fulks married her high school sweetheart?
Bert Fulks, Office Manager

As you've probably guessed, Bert belongs to Dr. Fulks (as he has
since high school!).

Bert is a Huntington native and graduate of Huntington East High
School and Marshall University.  In his "spare time" you may find him
coaching Little League, teaching Sunday School at FUMC, or simply
sharing his love of sports, music and movies with his kids.

Bert's goal is to make you a RAVING FAN of South Huntington Animal
Hospital.  If there's EVER any reason you're not able to refer us to your
family and friends, let Bert know and he'll do whatever it takes to
make it right!

Did you know . . . that Bert's first career was teaching World History,
Sociology, and Psychology at Dublin Coffman High School in Dublin,
Ohio?
Leslie Webb, Client Care / Veterinary Assistant

Leslie's been working in veterinary medicine since high school,
continuing through her studies at The Ohio State University, all the
way to her time here with us.

Of course, Leslie stays busy here at South Huntington . . . and then
she goes home to a fun-filled household that includes a young son,
an even younger daughter, an allergic "outlaw" dog, two "dumpster"
cats, and a Marine.

In her free time, Leslie enjoys spending time with her family and
friends, cooking, reading, taking walks, and enjoying the outdoors.

Did you know . . . that Leslie grew up on an Angus Beef cattle farm
and was her high school's FFA President and District Reporter?
Courtney Jones, Client Care / Veterinary Assistant

A graduate of Cabell Midland High School, Courtney is currently
studying at Marshall University, majoring in Molecular Biology and
minoring in Latin.

Between school and work, Courtney always manages to find time to
spend with her family---both her four-legged and two-legged family
members, including "the love of her life," her toddler nephew.

In her remaining hours, you'll find Courtney reading books, travelling
to watch dirt races, or just enjoying the outdoors.

Did you know . . . that Courtney is a twin?
Courtney Adkins, Client Care / Veterinary Assistant

Yep, two Courtneys . . . .  And did we mention that Courtney is
married . . . and that her maiden name is Jones?!  Confused?

A graduate of Vinson High School, Courtney's gained a lot of
experience in retail, banking, and customer service.  Somehow that
lead her to us and her current studies to become a Licensed
Veterinary Technician.

Courtney and her husband are enjoying toddlerhood with their young
son.  With a love of outdoors, Courtney spends her spare time
camping, fishing, hunting, reading, and doing cross stitch.

Did you know . . . that Courtney played bass drum in marching band
and was 1st chair clarinet?
Sarah Asbury, Client Care / Veterinary Assistant

Sarah, a graduate of Eastern Panhandle Christian Academy,
attended Ohio University Southern after graduation.

Sarah is proud to tell you that she grew up in a faith-filled home with
loving parents and a younger brother she calls her best friend.

When Sarah's not at work and not playing with her two dogs (a
wiemeraner and a cocker-chihuahua), Sarah loves riding horses,
shooting her bow, and capturing memories with her camera.

Did you know . . . that Sarah has an associates degree in
photography?
